Main Questions: By the end of the unit, the student should be able to answer the following questions:

1. When and why was Stonehenge built?

2. What does Stonehenge say about the people and society of the time? (science, society, technology, economics, politics, religion, philosophy, etc.)

3. When and why were the Great Pyramids of Egypt built?

4. What do the Great Pyramids say about the people and society of the time? (science, society, technology, economics, politics, religion, philosophy, etc.)

5. Can you make any comparisons to today? Look at the buildings and architecture around you, what do they say about our society?
